Resolved Question: I can't find a pet shelter to do volunteer work at in Tennessee?

I live in Clarksville, TN and I am 17 years old. I've tried so many pet shelters here, and I am unable to find one. I would get a job if I could but I don't have a car to access nor a license yet. I want to get out of the house and help people or help care for animals like cleaning up after them or playing with them. Is there any that you know in the area that I can help with? I don't have a car to access 24/7. But I am able to volunteer for a few hours (parents permission), by them driving me a few times a month or me taking the bus. @Bean - I've tried that.. I've spoken to the women who answer the phones, and they say that their insurence company only allows 18 year olds.
